Penetration Tester
Responsibilities:
Apply vulnerability scanning and penetration testing techniques against applications and computer platforms. Identify security flaws and devise strategies and techniques to mitigate risks. Perform vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and support security assessments. Collaborate with team and partners, and system owners. Develop detailed remediation reports and recommendations for compliance and security improvements across information technology enterprise based on changing threats. Work in teaming environment to assist clients in developing action/implementation plans and security policies and guidance that correct deficiencies, mitigate insider and external threat, and enhance cyber situational awareness and cyber security posture. Qualifications:
Understanding of cyber security terminology, security assessments, vulnerability and penetration test principles and methodologies Experience with vulnerability exploitation testing tools, i.e., Nessus, Metasploit, CANVAS, Nmap, BurpSuite, NetScan, Kismet, Core Impact, BackTrack / Kali Linux 3+ years of experience with network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing methods; including web application and database application testing
2+ years of experience with using, administering, and troubleshooting a major version of Linux-Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and networking architectures Understanding of best-practice methodologies for vulnerability exploitation Experience in performing network and application testing using established test protocols and methods Proficient in researching and evaluating emerging technologies relevant to information systems security; interpreting organization specific security guidance Ability to work in collaborated teaming environment Willing to travel at least 50% of the time
Additional Qualifications: 5+ years experience in the cyber security, information assurance or information security field performing technical duties including vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, security assessments and similar activities. Bachelors Degree in computer science, information systems, information security or related field Experience with programming and scripting in Perl, Python, Ruby, bash, or Java Experience with wireless LAN security, including testing methods and software Knowledge of database, applications, and Web server design and implementation Knowledge of open security testing standards and projects, including OWASP Possession of excellent written documentation and oral presentation skills
